Welcome I’m Erica Salzman

A Licensed Educational Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist based in Los Angeles. I am dedicated to understanding and supporting diverse learners through unlocking every individual’s unique learning possibilities.

My journey has been in the public school setting, where I’ve worked at both the district level and charter school setting since 2014. My experience spans across age groups, from preschool to high school, and includes three years at a nonpublic school catering to students with Autism. Throughout, I’ve provided individual and group counseling and conducted comprehensive assessments for students with a spectrum of conditions, from ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, and learning disabilities to emotional disturbance and gifted abilities. Through detailed cognitive and social-emotional assessments, I uncover individual learning nuances to tailor interventions and accommodations, which can servce to amplify each person’s potential.

I am passionate about helping individuals succeed in their educational environment. My extensive experience equips me with a comprehensive understanding of the IEP process, best practices, parent rights, and the components of a thorough assessment. I empower parents with knowledge and support, enabling them to advocate confidently for their student’s needs within the public and private school system.

Collaboration is central to my approach. Working closely with parents, educators, and administrators, I strive for a collective understanding of strengths and challenges, forming the basis for personalized, effective support.

Outside of work, I cherish moments in the kitchen experimenting with recipes, quality time with family, exploring new destinations through travel, hiking, and immersing myself in a good book.
